I have a Coody tent in beige and wanted some poles to match the aesthetic, surprisingly Coody have only one tie of pole and the colour doesn't match any of their colours.
I got these twin pole sets on sale which to me at the time of ordering still felt overpriced for just tent poles, however my need for aesthetics won the battle that day and I'm glad it did. The poles are solid, little give in the joins and side to side play, no bending when fully extended either. It is made up of three parts that slide into each other and lock with spring type loaded buttons. The lower section has a solid rubber stop so it's safe to place on a tarp. The middle has two height settings, fully extended from ground (154.5cm excluding pin on top) or fully lowered giving the total folded down height of 86.5cm, top section has 11 height settings starting at 170cm then jumping 5cm at a time up to 220cm for total extendable height.
For the pole to be secure however, the middle section has to be raised to its full height for the locking pin to engage, the upper section doesn't have to be raised giving you the 154.5cm total height however it's locking pin doesn't activate until 170cm to be fully secure.
The locking pins are very well made, they are easy to press down to adjust heights to the next hole however they don't feel flimsy, time will tell though as the button on the locking pin is plastic. The pin at the very top to place your tarp eyelets over is 4.5cm long with two cut outs and different heights to secure them in place.
The finish is solid, paint is smooth and uniformed and the branding and height indicator marks are minimal yet clear and easy to read. The dual carry case is heavy canvas with heavy duty double zips and carry handle. Each pole has its own, completely seperate zipped compartment in the bag so they'll never rub against each other in transit.
Now I have them, they are worth the money even if I had paid full price, $64.50 per pole is a fair price for the quality (keep in mind you'll have to pay additional for shipping if cart total is under $199).
I'm completely satisfied with these and Cosy so far, this was my first purchase so I can't speak more on them until I order again in the future which at this stage, I plan on doing.
This light was bought primarily for fishing and emergency lighting during power outages, when I need fast lighting at various outputs. Compared to other lights, the Outask was smaller, more compact, had larger battery capacity and a high light output. The best feature for me is the adjustable head to direct the light where it is needed.
When storms caused power outages, the Outask gave an abundance of light in a set up time of just seconds. The output was sufficient to have a room well-lit for safety and to let people know the home was occupied. I could cook, do repairs, read, apply first aid, and organise other lights, power sources etc.
The rotating and swivelling head lets me direct the light where I want it, particularly for my fishing when I don’t want the light shining in the water. The ability to raise the light on the telescopic pole makes it more efficient than a light on the ground (that is why home lighting is on the ceilings and street lighting is on poles), so by using the telescopic and directional features, I can run the light on a lower setting but get the same effect. This extends the battery run time.
High light output generates high heat that can lead to product failure. The Outask deals with this using an aluminium alloy head with holes bored through it. I understand that heat generated by the light is absorbed into the metal. In the horizontal position, as the heat rises, it draws air from underneath the head through the holes, to dissipate the heat more efficiently, like the radiator in my car. Reducing the heat should extend the life of the Outask over those lights that do not have this feature.
The aluminium-alloy telescoping pole is smooth and strong. The light output is excellent in either, the bright white or warm white modes, with three levels of adjustment. For photographers it could make for fast, easy to set up, capable lighting.
Optional extras expand the usefulness of the Outask. The case is of such a high quality, it could pass for military grade. It has a carry handle for the light in torch (flashlight) mode and offers valuable protection for my investment. By using the strap at the rear of the case I can attach the Outask to the molle points on my backpack for easy access. This is ideal when arriving in the dark with the need for fast lighting to set up camp. I don’t even have to take it off my backpack, just extend the pole and turn on the light.
Optional lampshades convert the Outask to a nice table lamp with soft lighting and the red lampshade is great for safety for car breakdowns, (when using the S.O.S. function), a warning light to mark a campsite or hazard or night lighting that does not affect my night vision. Red and yellow lighting is less attractive to insects. The Outask has a USB port for emergency charging of my phone or devices.
Whether camping, fishing, working, during emergencies, photography, barbecues or just out on the patio, the Outask is versatile enough to cover many scenarios. As a premium product made from quality materials, it attracts a higher price, but I expect it to outlast cheaper copies and not let me down when I need it the most.
The MARS Air Sofa 02 is one of those pieces of gear you don’t realise you need until you use it. It’s insanely convenient and quick to set up, easy to pack down and surprisingly comfortable for an inflatable sofa. The build feels sturdy, the material holds up well outdoors and it fits perfectly into a camping or weekend adventure setup.
The GREEN STOVE Focus has quickly become one of our favourite camp essentials. It’s compact, efficient and so easy to use, especially on long days outdoors when you just want something that works without fuss. The build quality feels solid, the flame control is smooth and consistent, and it boils water surprisingly fast for its size.
What we love most is how reliable it is in windy conditions, uneven surfaces, early mornings, late nights… it doesn’t miss a beat. It packs down neatly, fits perfectly with the rest of my gear and makes camp cooking simple and stress-free.
Exactly how I pictured it and the uses. I needed.. dry light and fuel efficient
Compact. Packs well and come with. Carry case. Clean and simple lines, looks very attractive. Easy to use.
We took this on our 3 week tour of Tasmania and it didn't lose a drop. The durability is great, the tap is perfect as you can twist it to adjust if needed. Highly recommend over other jerries on the market.
Such a great table for being on the go. Light & compact, great for brewing coffee on the go
Shiny finish kettle. Boils water, gets hot. Not much else to say.
Got 2 of these in Large. Fits in the lid of the cargo IGT’s carry bag. The medium size would fit more perfectly but this still fits in there.
Good quality. Slides in and out easily
Good depth, fits in the cargo IGT comfort table’s bag. Be cool to see this in a collapsible version.
Wanted to pick up a diff burner for an IGT but it sold out - the guys recommended this one or the black deer ($50 cheaper) same quality and build.
This one won out, has legs if I want to use it on a tabletop, and also has butane can holder beneath it when using with an IGT.
built well, and good idea to add the hanging rail for accessories like sierra cups, cooking utensils. Etc.
Was weighing up between this and the snow peak collapsible IGT as the cost (for just the table) is essentially the same.
Came down to aesthetics and the weight/sturdiness of the tables. Snowpeak is a lot lighter but always wobbles a bit more, especially as you get longer legs. The cargo is rock solid from shortest to longest leg length. Wish it could go maybe 1 step higher but minor thing.
excellent quality and comfort can't wait to give it a try in our next camping trip!
Great addition to camping.
Strong easy to set up. So versatile
Great product! Once we got the fire pit working, it was a treat to pull out and use consistently. Like their other range too, because most of this stuff is utilitarian in a way. Need more places like this in Melbourne. Top notch!
Happy with the build quality. Perfect camping mate
Perfect size for cooking. Lightweight and the heat exchange is very efficient. Excellent service from CosyCamp.
