Absolutely well worth the money spent, unfortunately, will not be my go-to for camping trips.
I’m a solo female camper with a dog, so for space, this tent was AMAZING. Bedroom area fit a queen sized bed comfortably, with enough space around for my dog if she decided to sleep on the floor. Tent also has provisions for awnings on 3 sides, but only had poles for one side (seasoned campers should have several poles in storage, or these can be purchased for cheap even at Kmart). I used a Coleman ground mat which I’ve had from a previous setup and it worked out great to keep the bottom of the tent fairly clean on takedown.
The main con I found with this tent was actually one of its best selling point as well: the pop-up feature. I should have learned from my previous experience with Coleman pop-up tents, but I’m too stubborn. The pop-up feature is supposed to make it easier to set up. For a lone 5’2” camper, however, setup can take a bit of time especially when putting the fly sheet on. Also, because it’s a pop-up, it does take considerable space in the car. One thing about this tent, though, is that I love how the designer took into consideration that pop-up tents seem to take much more room after their first takedown, so the bag is big enough to accomodate that size difference.
Overall, will be keeping the tent for the possibility of camping with someone taller who can help me with setup. However, have just purchased another one as a potential go-to for trips with just me and my dog (decided to go for the Aristocrat as it seems like it would be easier for a shortie like me to handle).
