Description
The Dometic Recon 16L Hardside Cooler is a compact icebox for day trips, drinks beside the camp chair and a dedicated second cooler in a larger touring setup. Its tall, narrow shape holds up to 18 cans and accommodates upright wine bottles, with a lid that opens from either side so you can reach inside from the most convenient position.
An injection-moulded shell, welded seams and 5 cm insulation form the core of the Recon design. This 16L version also includes spigot and tap-connecting caps, letting you choose between chilled food-and-drink storage and an insulated water-container setup. A powered faucet is a separate accessory.

What is included?
One Dometic Recon 16L cooler in your selected colour, one spigot cap and one tap-connecting cap.
A powered faucet, ice blocks, drinkware and other campsite accessories are sold separately. The separate Recon divider is designed for the 41L and 69L models.
Packing and common questions
How much will fit once ice is added?
The litre and can figures are capacity guides. Ice, ice blocks, bottles and food containers all occupy space, so plan around your actual combination rather than treating the can count as a packed-with-ice guarantee.
How long will it stay cold?
Ice retention depends on the starting temperature of the contents, the amount of ice, outdoor conditions and how often the lid is opened. Keep these factors in mind when planning how to pack and access the cooler during your trip.
Can I use it as a water dispenser?
Yes, the included caps support a water-container setup. The tap-connecting cap is an attachment for a compatible tap; it is not a powered faucet. Choose any additional faucet separately.
