Description
The Dometic Recon CF47DZW 47 L Dual-Zone Fridge & Freezer brings powered cooling to the Recon system in a wheeled, campsite-ready format. Separate cooling zones let you organise chilled food and frozen supplies, while the removable divider gives you a larger single-zone layout when your packing needs change.
A rechargeable Recon LiFePO4 battery is included, so you can move away from a fixed power point. The Silt body, large TPU wheels and retractable aluminium-alloy Glide Handle make the transition from vehicle to camp easier, with a removable lid that opens from either side.
Is the Recon CF47DZW right for your trip?

For car camping and touring: a 47 L single-zone capacity, or 45 L with the divider fitted, gives you room to plan meals and drinks without allowing space for loose ice.

For chilled and frozen supplies: dual-zone operation offers separate controls. The available temperature setting in the smaller zone depends on the larger zone’s setting, so follow the operating manual when configuring both compartments.

For moving around camp: the 56 mm ground clearance and all-terrain wheels help on uneven surfaces. Allow for the 24.95 kg net weight plus your food and drinks when lifting it into a vehicle.

Setup and care
Charge the battery before first use. Position the fridge in a ventilated location protected from direct sunlight, keep the vents clear and clean the interior and exterior with a damp cloth before packing. Consult the operating manual for power connections, battery protection settings, cleaning and storage. Battery runtime varies with temperature settings, ambient conditions, loading and use.
Frequently asked questions
Can it chill and freeze at the same time?
Yes, with the divider fitted and suitable settings. The smaller zone’s available range depends on the larger zone’s setting. A minimum of −22°C may not be attained above 32°C ambient.
Is the battery included?
Yes. The AU kit includes a Recon battery plus AC, DC and USB-C-to-USB-C cables. A spare Recon battery is available separately.
Can it charge USB devices?
The detachable battery has USB-A and USB-C connections. These are battery features rather than USB sockets built into the fridge body.
What manufacturer warranty applies?
The AU/NZ operating manual states five years for the Recon fridge/freezer and two years for the Recon battery, subject to Dometic’s terms. These benefits are additional to applicable consumer guarantees.
