OMG this bloody review thing deleted the review I just wrote. I wrote a detailed review and my writing got deleted when I went and adjusted my photo to make sure it didn't include any people. Oops.
The tent is great and I'm very happy with it.
I wrote a whole lot of detailed feedback but I couldn't be bothered writing it again at 11:52pm because I want to go and sleep in my tent in the backyard. However, the tent is very high quality with many outstanding design features and it fits my family of four very comfortably. They are all happy with it.
I haven't yet tested it out in the field but I've been testing it in the backyard in both windy rainy weather and in 32 degrees sun. Zero rain came in.
The one thing to know is that the tent can get quite hot inside under direct sunlight on a hot day. However, the venting options are excellent, and when fully utilised they make it a lot better. If for some reason I have the tent up in direct sunlight in the middle of the day and people really want to be in it, I'm intending to put a tarp up to shade the tent and I expect that will reduce the warmth effect. Nevertheless, this could be a consideration for some Australian purchasers. It is certainly not a deal-breaker for me, especially given that the entire front of the tent can be opened up to vent it.
I haven't owned many tents, but this is the best tent I've ever owned. It is superior to a tunnel tent I once owned in the past in terms of quality, robustness and design features.
I also bought the Halland 2 PU but I can't comment on that one yet since it's currently a secret that I bought it alongside the Oppland 4 PU and I'm scared the timing might not be right for my missus to find out that I actually bought two tents. It hasn't come out of the bag yet, but the Oppland 4 PU that I have tested out is a beauty.
