For over 17 years, the SNOW PEAK Land Lock has been regarded as one of Japan's most iconic family camping shelters. The Land Lock X represents the next generation of this legendary design, completely re-engineered to deliver greater strength, improved livability, faster setup, and future-ready expandability while preserving everything campers love about the original.
Developed in collaboration with world-renowned pole manufacturer DAC, the Land Lock X features an entirely redesigned frame built from high-strength DA17 aluminium alloy, offering exceptional rigidity, improved wind resistance, and smoother assembly. The revised wall geometry increases usable interior volume by approximately 10% without increasing the overall footprint, creating a noticeably more spacious and comfortable living environment.
A newly integrated skylight, enlarged ventilation panels, and a standard Shield Roof featuring Snow Peak's SHIELD Pigment PU coating improve comfort throughout the year by reducing heat build-up while allowing more natural light into the shelter. The innovative variable inner room adapts between two- and four-person configurations, making the Land Lock X ideal for changing family sizes and different camping styles.
Designed for every season, the Land Lock X also supports the optional Land Lock X Fly Cover TC, enabling safe use of the Snow Peak MK Stove for warm and comfortable winter camping. Every fabric and component is manufactured using PFAS-free materials, reflecting Snow Peak's commitment to environmentally responsible outdoor equipment.

Key Features
Completely Redesigned DAC Frame
Developed together with DAC (Dongah Aluminum Corporation), the entirely new frame system uses premium DA17 high-strength aluminium alloy finished in an exclusive gunmetal colour for exceptional durability, rigidity, and premium appearance.
Approximately 10% Larger Living Space
A redesigned wall profile creates steeper sidewalls, increasing usable interior volume by approximately 10% while maintaining the same campsite footprint. The result is a noticeably more spacious and comfortable interior for living, dining, and relaxing.
Variable Inner Room
The innovative adjustable inner room can be configured as either:
- 2-person bedroom
- 4-person bedroom
It can also be installed in multiple positions to better suit different group sizes and campsite layouts.
Integrated Skylight
A built-in ceiling skylight introduces natural daylight into the shelter, creating a brighter interior while also improving airflow and ventilation during warmer weather.
SHIELD Pigment Roof Technology
The included Shield Roof features Snow Peak's SHIELD Pigment PU coating, helping block radiant heat, reduce solar gain, and improve comfort during summer camping while maintaining a 3,000 mm minimum waterproof rating.
Large Multi-Opening Panels
Large front and side panels offer exceptional flexibility and ventilation. Panels can be fully opened, used as side-entry doors, or extended into awnings using optional upright poles to suit changing weather conditions.
Redesigned Fast Setup System
Every structural component has been reconsidered to simplify pitching while increasing stability.
Improvements include:
- Pole Boot Joint system
- Cross Frame Swivel TL connectors

Stove Compatible Winter Shelter
When paired with the optional Land Lock X Fly Cover TC, the integrated skylight functions as a dedicated chimney port, allowing safe use with the Snow Peak MK Stove (sold separately). This transforms the Land Lock X into a highly capable cold-weather shelter for comfortable winter camping.
